Well it’s taken me a while but I’m excited to have a new website to showcase my professional photography and video! And it’s great to have this new blog space to chat about all things photographic as well as flag up some of my favourite photography projects and workshop opportunities.
I’m going to kick off by showcasing a couple of dance images from 2024, personal favourites of mine from the fabulous Shaper / Caper in Dundee. The pictures are from the production shots for Small Town Boys, a piece exploring the escapism of queer nightlife during the 1980s & early 90s AIDS crisis.

Set in a nightclub, the performance is vibrant, bold, politically charged and hugely entertaining. It was so much fun to photograph and there is even dancing for everyone at the end of the show – which of course I couldn’t resist!
Congratulations to Thomas Small and all the cast and crew for winning the Creative Arts Award at the 2024 Proud Scotland Awards!
I consider myself fortunate to have worked with Shaper / Caper on several occasions. Sometimes production shots and sometimes to create a promo image for a dance work such as this one, Within this Dust. It’s a beautiful piece and I absolutely loved working on this project with Thomas.
Visit Shaper/Caper’s website for info about Small Town Boys and all their projects and productions.
